One of the most important issues, in hospitals is monitoring of patient/ staff and visitor positions, knowing the exact location of small expensive equipments. Wi-Fi enabled RTLS are fast becoming the preferred tool to keep track of all these. surveillance and security options.
In healthcare currently RTLS is used to track patients, visitors, staff, to monitor the location of expensive and precious equipments, to prevent theft and loss. System is used to monitor identification of patients before starting blood transfusion, giving medicine, or sending for surgery. Also used to label new born babies to track proper identification. The system is used to locate things like perfusion pumps, mobile ventilators, other medical devices, tablet/ lap top computers, furniture for hospital use etc.
